A little harsh, yes. The "mamma instinct" to make sure your kids eat is strong. But there are definitely "kid-friendly" ways to cook that do not involve making separate meals for picky eaters. I never have made a separate meal, but it is a challenge.

I completely agree. I have bipolar as well, and as a bipolar parent its hard- sometimes I think too hard. I have a three year old and 16 month old who both have more energy than i can muster most days. the mania is addicting and i find myself anticipating the ride up hill when i have the energy and interest in having fun and being productive with my girls. then when the depression sets in im glad my girls are content to lay in bed watching tinkerbell over and over. thank you for your post .

April!

I love your blog. I just read the first post. If you are still TTC without success, don't get discouraged. It took me 2,5 years of TTC... And some medical help. Now I have a 5-month old beautiful boy.

I just started reading your posts, so I am not sure if you got a positive yet, but if you haven't don't worry. Technology is wonderful, and before you have to go to invitro, there are a million lighter treatments that you can try. I got pregnant simply taking an injection for 3 days. Not bad at all.

I will keep reading...

My sister and I are living proof that you can get pregz after 30. No worries, I'm sure you'll get knocked up! Does it feel weird to try to have a baby after actively trying not to have one for so long?

I think you've got the right idea. When I had my first (he's 9yrs old) I tried to keep up with all the other mommies...for about 3mos. It was so exhausting and unfulfilling. I really figured out that I had to do it my own way and it has been bliss every since. My family has a history with several mental issues so when planning my family it was something I really took into consideration. I ended up with 2 children (second one is 3yr old) and I 100% agree, you'll know when it's time. I knew when I was done. It wasn't a question. I have stuck to my guns and do things my own way and it works!

Ahhh the mommy wars... They can be brutal. (breastfeeding really is best! :P *boobs in your face*) And for what it's worth, although I am not bipolar, I can completely sympathize with the wanting to run hide in a closet with a bucket on my head.

There was a child that had to have surgery because she stuck a berry/seed from a tree in her ear canal. I dont know why? I guess if there is a hole something supposed to go in it...lol
